St. Aiden's Accommodation

All rooms are shower-room ensuite, with bed linen, towels, hair dryer and toiletries provided. There are tea and coffee-making facilities in every room and small fridges in some rooms on request and excellent free Wi-Fi coverage throughout the house.
 
There is a small kitchen located upstairs which offers complimentary continental breakfast supplies such as milk, juice, cheese, fruit, bread, yoghurts. We want to be clear that this is not supposed to be a comprehensive breakfast. It is an extra facility for the guests only.There is an oven and a microwave, to make small snacks. The kitchenette is not suitable for major large scale cooking. There is a washing machine also in the kitchen. There is an extra charge for using this.
 

Ideal Dublin Location

St. Aiden’s Guesthouse is situated right between Rathgar and Terenure Villages which provides access to a bustling public transport network. Accessing the City-Centre is merely a five-minute walk to the local bus stop and hopping on the 15 bus for only twenty minutes. The 15 bus is a 24 hour service. Along this route, you will pass through Rathmines and Camden Street. These are bustling areas filled with people, shops, and amenities. Rathmines is a great option for food, whereas Camden Street is a nightlife-hub with pubs and clubs galore.Walking to town is also an option. It will take 20 mins to the canal on the edge of town which is a very pleasant walk, and 40 mins walking to Trinity College which is right in the centre.

Parking

There is free parking located at the rear of the property. To access simply exit the front gate and head left. Take the next left lane called Harrison Row. You may get a place there.
 
If not take the next left lane and park there against a piece of wall between the garage doors. This lane is a cul de sac and runs parallel to Brighton Road. It is a very long lane and you will get parking there. Do not block any garage door please. Please let us know if you have any difficulty. If you have a disabled sticker you can park on the front street for free. Parking on the front street is free on Sundays and bank holidays and between the hours of 12 midnight and 0700 am.
 

Other

Rathgar Village: Rathgar Village located only 250 metres away and has numerous restaurants to dine at.
 
From Bijou which is always an excellent experience, to delicious Asian food from Kanum Thai or Buddha Mama Asian Tapas or the Artisan Revolution for pizza and pasta. Orwell Road restaurant also has some fancy food on offer.
There is a lovely breakfast and lunch café called Fat Cat which is in a stunning location, however, if a coffee and a sit-down is what you crave, Bijou-Deli has got what you need. Or grab a coffee and croissant to go, and sit in the grounds of the lovely church in Rathgar on seats provided.
Finally, there are two Pubs, The 108 which offers craft beer and is serviced by Revolution Pizza to provide an excellent drinking and eating experience, and The Bottler’s Bank for a pleasant drink and chat.
There are multiple Supermarkets all located within a 10-minute walk from us (SuperValu, Aldi, Lidl, and Tesco Extra).
 
Terenure Village: Only 400 metres from our front door is Terenure Village. With all sorts of pubs, cafés, restaurants and shops, there is plenty to discover in Terenure. Looking for a lovely meal? Say hello to Brady’s of Terenure. Offering fantastic food with excellent service, make sure to say hello from St. Aiden’s Guesthouse. It has a lovely outdoor area in the summer.
Terenure Village has an eclectic mix of cultures. you can eat from all over the world in Terenure with Japanese, Indian, Irish, Chinese, and Syrian food options all within seconds of each other. JD s steakhouse,The Japanese restaurant, Damascus Gate, Bellagios and Vermillion.Foam , Avant , and The Lark are more coffee shop and breakfast choices.

Bus Routes

  • Travelling via Bus from St. Aiden’s Guesthouse could not be easier, simply download the TFI live bus app and get started today. Each bus ride costs 2.60 for adults (16+) and 1.30 for children (0-15). You can buy ‘Leap’ cards in SuperValu which allow access to Tram and Train services and make every journey cheaper.
  • Accessing the City Centre is extremely easy and the 14, 15, and 65B all send you in the right direction from the 1166 Bus stop in Rathgar Village. Each of these buses takes 15-20 minutes to drop you in the centre of Town.
  • Buses to Docklands (Google, Facebook, PWC, Central Bank etc) take the 15B also available from Rathgar.
  • 16 Buses to/from the Airport less than a 10-minute walk. This takes roughly 1.5 hours and is a smooth and easy journey if long with no transfers.
  • 17 Bus to/from UCD, a 10-minute walk
  • 18 Bus to/from Ballsbridge and RDS, a 10-minute walk
 

Walking

  • City Centre - St Patrick’s Cathedral (30 minutes/2.9kM)
  • City Centre - St. Stephen’s Green (40 minutes/3.5kM)
  • City Centre - Trinity College (50 minutes/4.3kM)

Policies

  • Check-in from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm (Outside these times strictly by prior arrangement). We are open to earlier check in by arrangement and if the rooms are ready.
  • Bags can be arranged to be dropped into the property from 8:30 am by prior arrangement.
  • A child cot is available free of charge. No charge for children (under 12) who use existing bedding.
  • Credit cards may be pre-authorised at any time after the booking. We do not receive this money as it is merely held on your card for a short while.
 

Cancellation

You may cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before start of due arrival day. ie For planned arrival on a Friday, cancellation must be before midnight on Tuesday.
Cancellation up to 24 hours before due arrival day will incur a 1 day charge.
Cancellations within 24 hours of due arrival day may incur a full booking charge, if the rooms cannot be re-let.
Cancellation of non-refundable or special rate bookings, when available, will always incur the full cost of the booking.
No stag or hen parties are accepted and will be cancelled by us immediately if detected.
Maximum number of rooms in 1 booking is 4.
